Amazon.com Review Outdoor cooking enthusiasts who use large vats for gumbo, jambalaya, and more appreciate a yard-long paddle like this one. Great for stirring in mass quantities of shrimp, crawfish, and spices, the stainless-steel paddle won't absorb cooking colors or odors and cleans more easily than a wooden paddle. The handle is hollow to lighten the weight, and the spatulate end, which measures 4-3/4 by 9 inches, could even be used to lift bread or pancakes off a skillet. Heck, the paddle could even be employed in a pinch to propel a canoe. Bayou Classic makes a wide range of outdoor propane stoves, turkey fryers, and oversized cookware that are especially ideal for camps, youth groups, hunting or fishing parties, and post-game picnics. --Ann Bieri

Perfect for a 6-gallon bath of homebrew! November 10, 2009 D. Chapman (New York) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I used this on the Bayou Classic propane burner and it was a killer combo. I'm so glad I switched to this instead of the old 24-quart on my electric stove. Doesn't even compare. Best part is if you measure properly, you don't need to top off your wort in the fermenter, because this can hold enough initially. Definitely recommend.
Brewer's brewpot June 6, 2010 S. M. LECUYER 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this pot to boil all-grain full boil worts in beer making. I does this job quite well. This pot holds a full 9 gallons and will boil a 7 or 8 gallon wort easily. All stainless steel with two lifting handles that can handle the weight of the full batch and a vented cover make it ideal for brewing 5 gallon batches either all-grain or from extract. And this pot can go from brewing beer to steaming lobster to large batches of soup. Would recommend this pot for all home brewing needs, especially the all-grain brewer who needs to boil the full batch.
OUTSTANDING QUALITY ***** February 12, 2010 SHACKLEDRAGE (Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Homebrewing "must have".
The quality of the kettle is outstanding!!! This is my third kettle and I wish I had of bought this one first. Is thick Stainless Steel, good weld on the handles. I bought this to be used as a wort kettle for 5-6 gallon batches and am now considering buying the 60 quart for doing 10 gallon batches. If you got the cash this is the way to go! Ordered online with the free shipping and recieved the kettle in 5 days. Also, if you go with the kettle you need the burner, check out the Bayou Classic SP10 High-Pressure Outdoor Gas Cooker, Propane. They have larger burners, but with this one it'll rock a 5 gallon boil in about 30-40 min and here's the kicker... you'll get about 4 batches per tank. If you really want some BTU's kickin upgrade to their Bayou Classic KAB4 High Pressure Banjo Cooker. [...]
Is it possible to love a pot? I think so. April 9, 2010 Erik Davis (Seattle ftw) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I picked this bad boy up for homebrewing and let me tell you, it is probably the best ss brewpot you can get. I don't brew outside and i was using an aluminum pot because i got it cheap. It would barely get a rolling boil and when things were added to the water, it would take forever to recover and would get a light boil at best. using the lid on the aluminum pot caused a disaster at one point, creating a big hot boil over mess. I decided to give this here pot a try and it's fantastic. You can use the lid and as long as you're watching the wort, as you should be, you will get a super vigorous boil on an electric stove. I love that I can take the lid off and slide it between the handle and pot when i need to add goodness or stir. sometimes, depending on the beer i am making, i'll have to remove the lid slightly as to prevent foam up. my recover time, rolling boilyness, and general state of happiness has increased since this purchase. it's got a big volume so you can add all your water at once. hell, even this strainer Polder 6631-75 Stainless-Steel Sink Strainer with Extending Rubber-Grip Arms fits it like a glove. it's like peanut butter and chocolate. really great combo purchase. don't get a cheaper or aluminum pot, this is it!
Amazing! September 11, 2009 Walter Wettschreck (Cottage Grove, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a home brewer and this thing works great for a full 5 gallon boil. The lid has a couple small holes drilled into it and at first I was upset. However now I love them. They let just enough out to prevent a boil over even with the lid on! Very inexpensive and well worth it. Fast shipping too.
