Product Description
Living single in her trailer was great for a time. But now Bobbie Fayeâs officially engaged to, and has purchased a home with, the hottest FBI agent on the beat: Trevor Cormier. Even though she still has no idea what he really does on the job, Bobbie Faye has never been happierâ¦until Trevor gets called away on an urgent assignment and leaves her in the care of body-guard slash babysitter Riley. As it turns out, Bobbie Faye could use a little extra security. The man she helped put in behind bars, the murderous Sean MacGreggor, has escaped from prisonâ¦and is dead-set on revenge. With still no word from Trevorâwho was only supposed to be gone for three daysâBobbie Faye finds herself reluctantly turning to her detective ex-boyfriend Cam for help. Heâs willing to do whatever it takes to protect Bobbie Fayeâ¦so long as Trevor stays out of the picture. For good.

When a Fan Loves a Novel... August 21, 2009 Alleirbag (Chicago, IL USA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
The only disappointment in this novel is the fact that it eventually had to end. I could have happily read 1,000 more pages featuring Bobbie Faye, Trevor and Cam (as well as the supporting characters). I imagine even after that epic length, I would still be unhappy that it was over. Causey manages to makes this series more and more interesting with each novel. The characters and the crazy plots remain ever so interesting and engaging.
Bobbie Faye is as hilarious as ever--and as we saw in the last two novels--she has this incredibly vulnerable side, too. And Causey showcases that vulnerability in an incredibly genuine manner. In fact, everyone showed their vulnerable side in this novel. The scenes with Bobbie Faye and both Trevor and Cam are so genuine, so steamy, and occasionally, so heartbreaking. While I absolutely love her with Trevor, I gotta tell you--I love her bond with Cam. After reading Causey's short story about Bobbie Faye & Cam (the beginning) on her website, I would happily pay money for a novel about their relationship before Trevor came along.
Now don't get me wrong--I'm hoping that eventually Cam will move on to find true love elsewhere, but right now? I'm hoping that doesn't happen for a long, long time b/c the scenes with Trevor and Cam are fantastic at creating tension. Bobbie Faye's concern and loyalty toward Cam are believable and this history & affection between them is undeniable.
The minute I finished this novel, I booted up the computer to find out when the next one will be released and I'm going bonkers not knowing when I can get my next Bobbie Faye fix.
Oh, and the quotes opening each chapter? FREAKIN' FANTASTIC. :) I'm still laughing...
Awesome Bobbie Faye goodness July 28, 2010 M. Kelly (Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is spectacular. There is non stop action. It is funny, witty, smart and you just fall in love with all the characters. I love these characters so much. I wish I knew a Bobbie Faye because life would never be dull. LOL
You will want to read the first 2 books to be sure you get where "When a Man Love a Weapon" takes off from.
The first book is "Charmed and Dangerous". Literally a page turner. It is hard to believe the entire book is one day! That's how action packed it is.
The second book is "Girls Just Wanna Have Guns". This book has an awesome plot and once again a page turner. You will giggle and fall in love with this series. After reading the second book, I could not wait for the third book.
I hope Toni McGee Causey keeps writing these Bobbie Faye stories because quite frankly we all need a little Bobbie Faye (and Trevor :) ) in our lives!!
I just wished that this was on Kindle.
zany out of control Cajun crime caper August 5, 2009 Harriet Klausner 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
In Lake Charles, Louisiana life is good if you ask Bobbie Faye Sumrall in spite of her last fiasco (see GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE GUNS). FBI agent Trevor Cormier asked her to marry him and she accepted. Being engaged is more than a hoot though she wished she knew a bit more about her fiancé's current assignment.
Trevor leaves town on FBI business, but to keep Bobbie Faye from having one of her notorious very bad bad bad days as he will be gone for three days, he leaves her under the care of what he calls a bodyguard; she calls that person an adult babysitter. Five days later, Trevor fails to return to Bobby Faye. Worried about him she turns to her former boyfriend detective Cameron Moreau to find him even as killer Sean MacGreggor is coming for Bobbie Faye.
WHEN A MAN LOVES A WEAPON is once again a zany out of control Cajun crime caper that hooks the audience from the moment five days go by as Bobby Faye has alligators up her butt with concern for her fiancé. The story line is fast-paced and filled with gators, swamps, bad dudes, and betting eccentrics (wagering on Bobby Faye survivalist) who make for a wild frolic. However, it is Bobby Faye's optimistic fortitude in the face of another Very (Very, Very, Very) Bad week that has fans wanting more of her Lake Charles thrillers as once again she affirms you can't keep a good woman down especially since she bets on herself.

well done October 11, 2009 bobsmom (west chester, pa) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was a real hoot. Suspend reality, bad guys get it, a few laughs, but at the same time a journey to deep emotional enlightenment for the main character. I actually hope this is the last in the series because things wrapped up so well for Bobbie Faye. If there is a sequel, I hope Cam finds peace and love. Did anyone else notice that the quotes at the top of each chapter? The names of other authors were used for the characters to whom the quotes were attributed. A cute and clever touch.
The one we've been waiting for. August 4, 2009 Patricia Burroughs 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the Bobbie Faye book everyone has been waiting for, where all the potential comes together in one frenzied, hot, hysterically funny climax. Things that have been hinted at burst into full-blown 3-D. Relationships that have tugged at our hearts are now in full bloom, with all the angst, tenderness and high octane heat we've hoped for.
This is the book we've been waiting to read, and it fulfills our expectations.
Go. Buy. Read. Love. Enjoy!
