ABOUT THE AUTHOR Myron Tassin is the author of three other Pelican books on the history and culture of Louisiana. ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER Fonville Winans, whose work is widely known under the name "Fonville," is perhaps the premier photographer of Acadiana.
